About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer (Retail & Leisure) to lead the design and delivery of exciting projects within the retail and leisure sectors. The development and execution of high-profile projects from concept through completion. This role requires technical design skills, and the ability to manage client relationships while mentoring junior designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the concept design, development, and execution of retail and leisure projects
- Translate brand identities into innovative spatial experiences that enhance customer engagement
- Develop detailed design packages using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Prepare high-quality presentations, storyboards, and visualisations for clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project coordination
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, including sourcing and material selection
- Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and creative studio culture
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations
- Stay ahead of industry trends in retail and leisure design, integrating fresh ideas into projects
About You
- 8–10 years of interior design experience, with significant exposure to retail and leisure projects
- Strong ability to translate commercial objectives into engaging design solutions
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with client-facing experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and other design tools
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and retail/leisure-specific requirements
- Leadership skills to mentor junior designers and manage cross-functional teams
- Fluency in English
Location & Salary
- Location: Sharjah, UAE
- Salary: AED 25,000–30,000 (depending on experience)
