About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Manager to join a dynamic architectural practice in London. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping business development strategies, driving new opportunities, and ensuring high-quality bid submissions. Working closely with senior leaders, sector specialists, and project teams, you will manage and coordinate bid processes, oversee marketing collateral, and support the firm’s growth efforts in both regional and international markets. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support business development initiatives. 
  • Manage and create high-quality bid and proposal submissions, ensuring alignment with brand standards. 
  • Track and coordinate local business development efforts, including RFQs, RFPs, and interview materials. 
  • Research market trends, client needs, and competitor activity to inform pursuit strategies. 
  • Work closely with project teams to gather relevant content, case studies, and project imagery. 
  • Oversee internal and external communications related to bids, marketing efforts, and industry events. 
  • Support conference attendance, award submissions, and project photography efforts. 
  • Maintain and update marketing resources, ensuring consistency and accuracy in presentation materials. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop compelling, well-structured proposals and presentations. 
  • Assist with the development of professional accreditation and award submissions. 

About You

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and strategic professional with a passion for the built environment and a strong understanding of the bid management process within the architecture and design industry. 

Key Skills & Experience: 

  • A degree in Journalism, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in bid management, marketing, or business development within architecture, engineering, or construction. 
  • Proficiency in InDesign is essential; experience with Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus. 
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with experience in producing compelling bid documents. 
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal stakeholders and clients. 
  • Knowledge of architecture, interior design, or the built environment is highly desirable. 
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
