About the Role

As a Design Principal / Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the architectural design of projects from conception to completion. This will include establishing project scope and objectives, ensuring that all project design team members are properly briefed, and coordinating with the project design team to explore various research options on specialised and innovative design solutions specific to the unique design aspects of projects.

In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that all project design documents are checked and reviewed, and that deliverables are reviewed against the resource schedules and programs to ensure that resource capabilities and densities are optimal. You will also be responsible for the technical coordination with and integration among multi-disciplinary design teams and specialist consultants.

As a key member of the team, you will attend coordination meetings and design workshops as required, ensuring that your input is heard and integrated into the project design. You will also be responsible for overseeing, managing, and leading the architectural design team of projects, ensuring that all team members are performing to the best of their abilities and that the project design is being executed to the highest standard.

The Design Principal / Director will report to the Managing Director and will work closely with other members of the leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of projects. In addition to these responsibilities, the Design Director may be required to perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Managing Director.

About You

You are a highly skilled and experienced professional with a passion for delivering exceptional results. You have a strong background in architectural design, with a track record of overseeing and managing projects from conception to completion. You possess excellent leadership skills and can lead, mentor, and motivate your team to achieve their goals.

Experience in the United Arab Emirates is essential.

Additionally, you have exceptional technical skills, with a deep understanding of design principles and the ability to create innovative, sustainable, and functional designs. You are also highly skilled in technical coordination and integration among multi-disciplinary design teams and specialist consultants.

You are an excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels. You possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all project design documents are checked and reviewed, and that deliverables are reviewed against the resource schedules and programs to ensure optimal resource capabilities and densities.

As a Design Director, you are committed to staying up to date with the latest design trends and technology, constantly seeking new and innovative ways to improve your work. You are a creative problem-solver, able to think outside the box to develop unique and effective design solutions.
