About the Role
As a Senior Landscape Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and influencing projects across diverse sectors, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will lead the delivery of landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA) and provide strategic advice to clients on landscape planning matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) for a variety of development projects.
- Develop and oversee landscape strategies and masterplans to support planning applications.
- Provide expert advice on landscape planning issues, including designations and mitigation measures.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
About You
You are a skilled and experienced Landscape Planner with a passion for creating sustainable and visually impactful environments. With a deep understanding of the UK planning system and landscape policy, you are confident in managing complex projects and providing strategic advice to clients.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
- Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or working towards it.
- Proven experience in preparing and delivering LVIA in line with industry standards.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, landscape policy, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in design and analytical software such as AutoCAD, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery and team support.
