About the Role
As a Landscape Planner, you will contribute to the successful delivery of a variety of projects by preparing high-quality landscape assessments and planning advice. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in integrating landscape considerations into the planning and design process to achieve sustainable and aesthetically impactful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) to support planning applications.
- Develop landscape strategies and masterplans that align with client and project objectives.
- Provide planning advice on landscape-related issues, including designations, mitigation, and compliance with planning policy.
- Assist in the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and other technical reports.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Contribute to project management tasks, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
About You
You are a passionate and knowledgeable Landscape Planner, eager to contribute to the creation of sustainable and visually impactful environments. With a solid understanding of the UK planning system and landscape policy, you bring both technical expertise and creative thinking to your work.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
- Working towards or achieving Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
- Experience in preparing LVIA in accordance with industry guidelines.
- Familiarity with UK planning systems, landscape policy, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork and project delivery.
