About the Role
As an Associate Landscape Planner, you will lead high-profile projects, manage teams, and provide expert advice to clients on complex landscape and planning matters. Your role will involve driving the successful delivery of landscape planning and assessment services while contributing to the growth and reputation of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and other landscape-related technical reports to support planning applications.
- Develop and oversee landscape strategies and masterplans tailored to client and project needs.
- Provide high-level advice on landscape planning matters, including policy compliance, designations, and mitigation strategies.
- Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact for landscape planning projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, architects, and environmental consultants, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional development and growth.
- Contribute to business development activities, including preparing proposals, identifying opportunities, and attending industry events.
About You
You are an experienced and driven Landscape Planner with a strong background in leading projects and providing expert advice. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and passion for sustainable development make you an asset to any team.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
- Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
- Significant experience in preparing LVIA and other landscape-related reports.
- Proven track record in managing and delivering large-scale and complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK planning system, landscape policy, and environmental regulations.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
