About the Company
Locri are working with an established and highly regarded architectural practice in Cambridge, with a strong reputation for architecture, heritage and conservation.
The practice works across a varied portfolio, including cultural, public, education, residential and commercial projects, with a particular focus on working sensitively with significant and historic buildings.
They are now looking to appoint an experienced Architect to join their growing Cambridge team. They would also consider an experienced Architectural Technologist or Technician with a strong technical background.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play an important role within project teams, contributing to both the creative and technical delivery of projects across a range of sectors.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading projects or key work packages through the RIBA stages.
- Developing creative design proposals and taking projects through to technical delivery.
- Working across RIBA Stages 3–7.
- Preparing, developing and coordinating technical design packages.
- Managing project programmes, deadlines and deliverables.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
- Liaising with clients and project stakeholders.
- Undertaking technical design reviews and quality checks.
- Supporting the successful financial and commercial delivery of projects.
- Reporting to senior members of the team on project progress and delivery.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Sharing knowledge and contributing to the wider development of the studio.
About You
- 5+ years’ post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice.
- ARB/RIBA qualification or equivalent. CIAT-qualified candidates will also be considered.
- Strong creative design and technical detailing skills.
- Proven experience working across RIBA Stages 3–7.
- Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Planning requirements.
- Strong experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience managing projects or significant project packages.
- Experience coordinating consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
- Heritage or conservation experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
