About the Company

We are working with an established and highly regarded landscape design practice in Hampshire, specialising in exceptional private gardens, country estates and high-end residential projects.

The practice is continuing to develop and is looking to bring an experienced Landscape Designer into the team.

The studio has a strong reputation for creating beautifully considered traditional British gardens, with landscape, architecture and planting coming together to create distinctive and timeless spaces. Projects range from private gardens through to larger country estates and historic properties, often requiring a sensitive understanding of the existing architecture, setting and character of the site.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for a Landscape Designer to become an important part of a close-knit team and work across projects from initial concepts through to delivery.

You will be involved in developing design ideas, producing drawings and presentations, and working closely with clients, consultants and the wider design team.

The successful candidate will have a genuine appreciation for traditional garden design and the ability to create elegant, natural and well-considered landscapes that complement their surroundings.

Given the nature of the projects, strong client-facing skills are important. You should be comfortable discussing design ideas directly with clients, understanding their requirements and helping to develop schemes to a very high standard.

The role will initially be office-based, with flexibility available once you are established within the team.

About You

Experience working within a landscape design practice
Strong design skills and a genuine passion for traditional garden design
A good understanding of planting, materials and landscape detailing
Ability to develop concepts through to detailed design
Confident dealing with clients and design teams
Excellent attention to detail
Experience working on high-end residential or private client projects
Vectorworks experience is preferred
Candidates with experience using other CAD packages will also be considered, with training provided on Vectorworks
Experience with historic properties, listed buildings or country estates would be advantageous
