About the Company
We’re working with a globally recognised architecture and design practice known for delivering large-scale, complex projects across retail, commercial and mixed-use sectors. The studio has a strong reputation for technical excellence, collaborative working, and long-standing client relationships, particularly within the retail and logistics space.
The team is well established but currently expanding due to continued project wins in the big box retail sector. They operate across all RIBA stages and are known for delivering highly coordinated, technically robust projects in partnership with major end clients.
About the Role
You’ll be joining at Associate level within a busy and growing retail/logistics team, working closely with senior leadership and key clients. This is a delivery-focused role with a strong emphasis on technical oversight, project control, and client engagement.
You will take responsibility for leading large-scale retail projects, including new build and refurbishment schemes, with a focus on ensuring technical accuracy and delivery excellence rather than drawing production.
The role will involve:
- Leading and managing large-scale retail and logistics projects across RIBA stages
- Overseeing project delivery, coordination, and programme control
- Reviewing and interrogating technical drawing packages (Revit-based workflow)
- Acting as a key client-facing lead on complex projects
- Managing contractual and commercial aspects of delivery
- Supporting senior leadership in driving project outcomes and team growth
There is also scope for progression into a more senior role for individuals with strong client relationships and the ability to contribute to work winning.
About You
You are an experienced Architect or Associate with strong UK project delivery experience in large-scale commercial, retail or logistics environments. You are technically confident, commercially aware, and comfortable operating in a client-facing capacity.
You will have:
- Strong experience delivering large-scale projects (retail, logistics or similar sectors essential)
- Excellent technical knowledge with a focus on drawing review and coordination
- Strong working knowledge of Revit (essential)
- Experience in project control, delivery and consultant coordination
- Good understanding of contracts and commercial frameworks
- Confidence working directly with clients and external stakeholders
- A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
Sector experience in big box retail or logistics is highly desirable.
Benefits
- £70,000 – £80,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working (1 day per week in office)
- Opportunity to work on major UK retail and logistics projects
- Clear progression into senior leadership roles
- Exposure to high-profile client accounts
- Strong technical and delivery-focused team environment
