About the Company

Our client is a leading multidisciplinary architecture and design practice, known for delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and refurbishment projects across the UK. With a strong reputation for design excellence and technical expertise, they specialise in projects that balance innovation, functionality, and sustainability.

As part of their continued expansion, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a range of high-value residential and commercial developments, ensuring compliance with the latest UK fire regulations and planning obligations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with strong UK fire safety regulation experience to take ownership of complex construction, refurbishment, and design projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from concept to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full project lifecycle of new-build and refurbishment residential developments, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Implement and enforce fire safety regulations, integrating best practices into design and construction processes.
  • Manage Section 106 obligations, ensuring legal commitments related to affordable housing, infrastructure contributions, and community benefits are met.
  • Liaise with planning authorities, building control, and fire safety consultants to maintain compliance with UK regulations.
  • Develop project strategies, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation plans to optimise project success.
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and design standards.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders on budget, project milestones, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to drive efficient and effective project execution.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented Project Manager with a strong background in residential and commercial developments. You should have in-depth knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and experience managing projects in London’s complex planning and regulatory environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in project management within the residential development sector.
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations, including Approved Document B and statutory compliance.
  • Experience managing Section 106 agreements and planning applications with London authorities.
  • Minimum of two projects completed in London through all RIBA stages, acting as the sole project manager.
  • RICS-accredited degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience delivering luxury interior design projects valued between £500k – £10m.
  • Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and client management skills.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Prince2, APMP, CIOB, RICS) are desirable.

Why Join?

  • Work with a leading design and development consultancy on prestigious UK-based projects.
  • Competitive salary + generous bonus structure.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
  • A strong team culture with regular social events, study trips, and networking opportunities.

Additional Benefits:

  • £100 contribution towards eye care.
  • 23 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing to 25 after 3 years).
  • Volunteer days to support charitable causes.
