We are working with a world-renowned architectural practice specialising in traditional and progressive classical architecture and contextual urbanism.
With studios in Winchester and London, the practice has an international reputation for its work across bespoke private houses, historic and listed buildings, conservation, residential developments, commercial projects and masterplanning.
About the Role
The practice is looking for an Architectural Technician with 3+ years’ experience to join its Winchester studio.
This is a technically focused opportunity working on bespoke private residential projects, with responsibility for developing detailed architectural information and supporting projects through the RIBA work stages.
You will work closely with Architects, Design Directors, consultants and clients, with a strong emphasis on construction detailing, technical coordination and delivering high-quality information.
The Duties
- Produce detailed architectural and technical information.
- Develop construction details and drawing packages.
- Work across multiple RIBA work stages.
- Assist with planning and building regulation information.
- Coordinate information with consultants and project teams.
- Apply a strong understanding of construction methods and building systems.
- Work independently while contributing to a wider multidisciplinary team.
- Meet agreed deadlines and project requirements.
- Contribute to bespoke residential projects with a high level of attention to detail.
About You
We are looking for an Architectural Technician with:
- 3+ years’ experience within architectural practice.
- Strong technical and construction detailing experience.
- Experience working across multiple RIBA stages.
- Good knowledge of UK building regulations and construction.
- Experience within residential architecture, ideally high-end or bespoke.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
- An interest in traditional and classical architecture.
ArchiCAD experience is advantageous but not essential, with training available.
