About the Role
As a Consultant Ecologist, you’ll be an integral part of a dynamic ecology team, contributing to impactful projects that shape the natural environment. This role offers the perfect balance of hands-on fieldwork and technical reporting. You’ll have the opportunity to lead ecological surveys, manage client relationships, and produce high-quality documentation to inform project decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting and leading a variety of ecological surveys.
- Preparing and delivering detailed technical reports.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding project outcomes.
This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely, with headquarters conveniently based in Birmingham.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic ecologist with a passion for biodiversity and ecological excellence. The ideal candidate will have:
- Protected species expertise: At least one protected species license (preferably for bats, GCN, or dormice).
- Fieldwork experience: Proven ability to conduct and lead ecological surveys with confidence.
- Technical skills: Strong report-writing abilities, producing clear, high-quality documentation for clients and stakeholders.
