About the Company

Our client is an established architecture practice delivering projects across the residential, healthcare, and industrial sectors.

The studio is recognised for delivering high-quality architecture from concept through to construction, with a strong focus on technical delivery, collaboration, and long-term client relationships.

With a growing portfolio of projects and a strong pipeline of work, the practice is now looking to appoint an Architect to join their team and support the delivery of residential-led schemes across the UK.

About the Role

This role will involve working across all RIBA work stages, from early design and planning through to technical design, construction documentation, and project delivery.

You will play a key role in the development of residential projects, supporting the preparation of planning applications, technical packages, and detailed construction drawings.

The position requires an architect who is comfortable contributing to projects through the full lifecycle, while coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors.

You will also work as part of a collaborative project team, supporting architects, assistants, and technologists across the studio.

Key Responsibilities

    • Work across all RIBA stages, particularly technical delivery and construction stages
    • Produce technical specifications, tender packages, and detailed construction drawings
    • Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
Present design work, attend meetings, and support project coordination
    • Prepare and submit planning applications, with knowledge of NPPF, Local Plans, and relevant planning guidance
    • Support the preparation of project programmes and assist with project coordination
    • Undertake Designer CDM responsibilities with knowledge of CDM regulations and BSA Principal Designer roles
    • Attend site appraisals, surveys, client meetings, and site inspections
    • Contribute to a collaborative studio culture, supporting colleagues and project teams

About You

You will be an Architect with experience working within a UK architecture practice, with strong technical skills and the ability to contribute to projects across all RIBA stages.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience within a UK architecture practice
    • Experience working on UK residential / housing projects, including apartment buildings or housing developments
    • Ability to work across all RIBA work stages
    • Strong technical and construction knowledge
    • Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and specifications
Revit proficiency is essential (AutoCAD would also be advantageous)
    • Highly organised with strong communication skills

Benefits

  • £40,000 – £50,000 salary, dependent on experience
    • Opportunities for career progression within the practice

    Flexible working hours
Hybrid working – 1 day per week from home post probation
22 days annual leave + Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service
