About the Role

Contract: 6 months (potential for extension to full-time) 
Location: Birmingham (Flexible working available) 

This is an exciting opportunity for Seasonal Ecologists with bat analysis expertise and survey experience to join a dynamic and growing ecology team. The initial contract is for six months, with the strong potential for a full-time role for the right candidates. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of ecological surveys and biodiversity projects, contributing to impactful environmental initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct bat surveys and analysis, supporting biodiversity monitoring projects. 
  • Carry out a variety of ecological surveys across different sites. 
  • Assist in reporting and data analysis, contributing to ecological assessments. 
  • Work on large-scale landscape and environmental projects with an expert team. 
  • Collaborate with ecologists, landscape architects, and environmental specialists. 

About You

We are looking for proactive and knowledgeable ecologists who are passionate about environmental conservation and have a keen interest in fieldwork. You should have a solid foundation in bat surveys and analysis, along with a well-rounded ecological skill set. 

Requirements: 

  • Essential: Experience in bat surveys and analysis. 
  • Strong understanding of UK ecology and biodiversity practices. 
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working on various projects. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • A full clean driving license and access to your own car (essential for site visits).
