With a strong track record of success across various sectors, the team is passionate about creating sustainable, biodiverse environments that positively impact people and nature alike. Joining this organisation means becoming part of a collaborative, innovative team that values creativity and expertise.

About the Role

As a Consultant Ecologist, you’ll be an integral part of a dynamic ecology team, contributing to impactful projects that shape the natural environment. This role offers the perfect balance of hands-on fieldwork and technical reporting. You’ll have the opportunity to lead ecological surveys, manage client relationships, and produce high-quality documentation to inform project decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and delivering detailed technical reports.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding project outcomes.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely, with headquarters conveniently based in Birmingham.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic ecologist with a passion for biodiversity and ecological excellence. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Protected species expertise: At least one protected species license (preferably for bats, GCN, or dormice).
  • Fieldwork experience: Proven ability to conduct and lead ecological surveys with confidence.
  • Technical skills: Strong report-writing abilities, producing clear, high-quality documentation for clients and stakeholders.

If you’re organised, detail-oriented, and eager to make a tangible difference in the field of ecology, this could be the role for you.

What’s on Offer

  • A competitive salary in the range of £30,000–£38,000 (to be confirmed at the interview stage).
  • The chance to work on diverse, high-profile projects that contribute to environmental sustainability.
  • A supportive and inclusive team environment where your expertise will be valued and nurtured.
