About the Role
Our client is looking to hire commercially ambitious and technically excellent ecologists as cornerstone associates for its new ecology team. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of something new and exciting within an established, supportive, and well-paid structure.
About You
The ideal candidate is:
- Commercially ambitious, technically excellent, and ready for a new challenge!
- A competent job runner, responsible for analysing and coordinating complex ecological strategies within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experienced with methodologies related to Biodiversity Net Gain, ecological impact assessment, and reporting on BREEAM and habitat regulations.
- A genuine team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and can confidently mentor junior staff.
- A member of CIEEM or an equivalent body who has achieved or is working towards chartered ecologist status.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant discipline and at least 2 years’ experience as a senior or equivalent level ecologist in a commercial or planning-focused business.
- A proven track record of excellent report writing, including EcIA/ES and BREEAM assessments, as well as experience with the BNG metric and management plans.
- A solid understanding of UK flora and fauna, wildlife legislation, and the planning system.
- Evidence of effective team leadership and mentoring experience.
