About the Role

As the Operations & Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business development and marketing efforts in Eastern and Western Regions, under the guidance of the Head of KSA.

Your primary focus will be to generate new projects by developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients and consultants in the region. You will identify clients, sectors, and regions that require architectural services.

To achieve this, you will prospect for potential new clients in Eastern and Western Areas and turn this into increased business. You will meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network, as well as research and build relationships with new clients. You will also set up meetings between client decision-makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals, participate in pricing the solution/service, handle objections by clarifying and emphasizing agreements and work through differences to a positive conclusion.

You will use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately and promote the company’s products/services, addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.

As the leader of the KSA operation, you will provide inspired leadership for the organisation, contribute to important policy, planning, and strategy decisions, and assist in the development, implementation, and review of operational policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for overseeing budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing and working with senior stakeholders. You will ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations. You will identify and address problems and opportunities for the company and build alliances and partnerships with other organisations.

Additionally, you will support worker communication with the management team and assist HR with recruiting when necessary.

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to generate new business, provide progress reports, and build long-term relationships with new and existing clients. You will be responsible for proactively providing business development progress reports on a weekly basis to the Head of KSA.

You will also be responsible for providing inspired leadership for the KSA operation which involves supporting important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. You will assist HR with recruiting when necessary and help promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance.

About You

As an Operations and Business Development Manager, you should possess strong personal qualities that include an enthusiasm for design and the built environment, and an ambitious personality capable of achieving set goals.

Experience in the United Arab Emirates is essential.

You should be proactive, responsible, and motivated, with excellent people management skills and the ability to lead small teams. The role requires a multitasker who can work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You should maintain a professional appearance and possess a focused and goal-oriented approach

Excellent communication skills are necessary to succeed in this role, and you should be open to other points of view, plan and conduct effective meetings, and be hands-on and proactive in your work. You must have a clear communication style and display integrity through honest and consistent behaviour, keeping commitments.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design is required, with excellent command of written and spoken English and the ability to use Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop would be highly preferable.

The position requires more than ten years of business development, sales, or marketing experience, with excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiating, organisational, and listening skills. Operations or Project Management experience is essential.

You should be mature, self-motivated, and passionate about developing new business. The ability to work well with others, market knowledge, meeting sales goals, professionalism, and experience with CRM are necessary for success in this role.

A Bachelor’s degree in operations management or a related field is necessary, along with experience in management, operations, and leadership. You should have a good understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management. The ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees is vital, along with excellent communication skills.
