About the Role
As Vice President for the South-East Asia data centre division, you will lead complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role will require a strong technical foundation, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support land acquisition initiatives and provide technical and commercial advice during the pre-land acquisition phase.
- Oversee data centre projects, from design stages to commissioning and handover.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and progress with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, both upstream with clients and downstream with contractors and consultants.
- Contribute to design and procurement decisions, address issues impacting construction progress, and ensure quality control.
About You
The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with a proven track record in the data centre industry and the ability to navigate the complexities of the South-East Asia market.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: 12-15+ years of work experience, with 5-7+ years dedicated to data centre projects, including at least 2-3 full project lifecycles.
- Technical Expertise: Engineering or design management experience, with a strong understanding of local construction costs and supply chains.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Education: Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services), Construction Management, or a related field.
- Regional Knowledge: Malaysian experience preferred, though regional experience in Asia will also be considered.
