About the Role

This particular role involves:

  • The creation of 3D models in Autodesk Revit including reviewing setup and management of models.

  • Ensuring BIM standards and quality of modelled information meets client requirements and needs.

  • Working within a team environment effectively.

  • Providing technical guidance, support and training to colleagues.

  • Assisting, where practicable, in mentoring and development of others.

  • Taking responsibility for the quality of BIM Models and any outputs produced.

About You

You will have various responsibilities and skills, such as:

  • Immediate technical support for all Autodesk Revit-orientated issues, including support for a variety of additional BIM authoring and analysis platforms and plugins.

  • Collaboration with external support consultant as and when required.

  • Support for Revit-authored project mobilization – formalization of volume strategies, setting up of project model files, building of project-specific family libraries, and leadership of internal BIM kick-off meetings.

  • Willingness to contribute to the overall development of BIM within the practice.

  • Support to allocated Team Members in ensuring internal project team adherence to the company BIM standards, Project BIM Summary, and – where relevant, BIM Execution Plan (BEP), MIDPs & TIDP.

  • Provide support to Project Teams in creating and developing 3D models in Revit.

  • Provision of one-on-one and group Revit training sessions.

  • Produce Revit families according to project requirements.

  • Contribute to and maintain BIM standards and library of BIM objects.

  • Support teams in troubleshooting technical issues.

  • Run clash detection and manage the process, including progress report.

  • Understanding of Common Data Environments.

  • Understanding of COBie, Uniclass and any other classification system which is agreed on the project.

  • Act as the BIM Lead in improving design efficiency within the office.

  • Ability to work in multiple projects at the same time.

  • Experience of producing working drawings and design to construction phase BIM information.

  • Technical Knowledge to use AutoCAD and Sketchup.
