About the Role
The Creative Senior Interior Designer is a key member of the interior design team, responsible for leading and overseeing the design process for various projects. This role requires a highly creative and experienced professional who can transform client requirements into innovative and functional interior design solutions. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate with clients, project managers, and other design team members to deliver exceptional designs that meet both aesthetic and functional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process from concept development to project completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality interior design solutions.
- Provide creative direction and guidance to the design team, mentoring designers and collaborating with them to enhance their skills and expertise.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative ideas into projects.
Client Collaboration:
- Conduct initial client meetings to understand their needs, preferences, and project goals.
- Translate client requirements into design concepts, creating mood boards, sketches, and 3D visualizations to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Present design proposals and concepts to clients, addressing their feedback and incorporating changes as necessary.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless coordination and integration of the design with the overall project plan.
- Create detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and material selections, to guide the construction and implementation process.
- Oversee the procurement and installation of furniture, fixtures, and finishes, ensuring compliance with design specifications and project timelines.
Space Planning & Layout:
- Develop functional and efficient space plans that optimize the use of available space and align with client requirements.
- Consider ergonomics, traffic flow, and accessibility in space planning to create user-friendly environments.
- Collaborate with other design disciplines, such as architecture to ensure a cohesive and harmonious design scheme.
Project Presentation:
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing design concepts, material selections, and design intent.
- Utilise various visual presentation tools, such as 3D renderings, physical models, and mood boards, to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in interior design in the GCC with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative and creative designs. Strong sketching skills and conceptual idea initiation.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D modelling software’s and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design concepts to clients and project stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to guide and inspire a design team.
- Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and principles is a plus.
