About the Role
The Irrigation Engineer will take sole responsibility for managing and delivering irrigation designs for projects across the studio, ensuring all aspects of irrigation design are completed to the highest standards. This position involves working closely with internal design teams and external consultants throughout both pre-contract and post-contract stages.
Key responsibilities include:
- Studio-Wide Responsibilities:
- Lead all irrigation design work across studio projects.
- Communicate project-specific irrigation resource needs with project leaders.
- Ensure all irrigation work adheres to studio protocols and standards.
- Project-Specific Responsibilities:
- Prepare irrigation water demand calculations during the concept design phase.
- Create detailed irrigation design drawings, including mainline layouts, drip and secondary lines, details, and plant room layouts from schematic design onward.
- Develop project-specific irrigation specifications using client-provided templates.
- Coordinate with internal landscape design teams, external consultants, and BIM teams to ensure accurate irrigation design development and compliance with the Project BEP.
- Perform QA/QC checks on all irrigation work and manage post-contract site operations, including drawing reviews and inspections.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Qualifications and Experience:
- A BSc in Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in delivering on-grade and podium landscape projects.
- Expertise in large-scale hospitality, residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments.
- Experience preparing and managing landscape project documentation from concept design to IFC and developing landscape specifications.
- Post-contract experience managing on-site irrigation operations.
- Extensive experience working within the UAE and the wider Middle East.
- A valid UAE driving license.
