The Environmental Planning team comprises specialists in planning, assessment and consenting of large-scale projects by providing planning advice, EIA strategies and process management. They are leading climate change, health and wellbeing strategies for new sustainable settlements alongside energy generating projects.

About the Role
Are you an experienced environmental planning professional with considerable expertise in managing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)? A keen enthusiasm for climate change and sustainability is desirable to lead your new team forward.
As an experienced operator in team / line / project management, this opening is for a talented, business minded and fervent individual who can demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of the following:
Town & Country Planning regime
Development Consent Order (DCO)
Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs)
Planning Act 2008,
Developments of National Significance (DNS) in Wales
s36 Electricity Act projects in Scotland. [advantageous]
Health Impact Assessment [advantageous]
Equalities Impact Assessment [advantageous]
Sustainability Appraisal [advantageous]
The successful candidate will develop and deliver new opportunities building on their network and inherent personable skillset for collaborative working. Accustomed to handling multiple workstreams and delivering high calibre work that you can be proud of. An astute efficient commercially savvy planner who will be integral to the success of the team management and ongoing advancement of the wider team members.
About You

- Abilities to plan, run and implement planning projects with a keen eye for detail throughout by managing and co-ordinating applications for a range of developments and sectors.
- Communicate effectively on all ‘channels’, verbal, aural and high quality written strategy and technical chapters / documents, letters and reports for all stages of the planning process.
- Provide a consistent quality and timely service to clients. You are keen to actively contribute to marketing initiatives and have the ability to spot opportunities and engage in business development activity and networking.
- Review other technical documents for planning alignment, quality and robustness.
Be MRTPI qualified and/or a Chartered Environmentalist, full Member of IEMA and/or - Registered EIA Practitioner qualified.
- Be willing to travel within UK to support their national offices (as required) and hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
